Welcome! I’m Tizane, and I work in Library & Content within the newspaper industry. Outside of work, I’m also a history content creator with a particular fondness for strange, beautiful, and overlooked corners of the past.

 

My academic background is in history, with degrees from the University of York and the University of Oxford. I originally specialised in modern history, though in recent years my interests have wandered further back in time — especially into the medieval world of manuscripts, tapestries, craft traditions, and curious objects.

Alongside my content work, I occasionally write for The Historian’s Magazine, an online publication founded by a community of history enthusiasts on Instagram. Since 2025, I’ve also served as Web Editor for the Modern History section.
